- There’s a music festival in the San Juans limited to 1000 people. I was one of them last weekend.
- I brought my sketchbook and drew as many bands as quickly as I could.
- I was even given a backstage approval nod—there’s no such thing as a backstage pass for a group of 1000 people—to get an easier vantage point.
- The big discoveries for me were The Last Bison, Noah Gundersen, The Devil Whale and Kithkin, who began their set with smashing a guitar. Hat tips to Hey Marseilles, Bobby Bare Jr and Blitzen Trapper for delivering beyond expectations.
If you’re from Doe Bay and you’re reading this, thanks. You made one hell of a memory for me. See you soon.
