Art

I read a few articles (and listened to one podcast) this week that all essentially try to define what makes art art. 

I love this topic.

I’m the jerk who thinks Rothko’s works are shit (unless tiled together in a Google image search) and cringes when he hears the words water and lilies,  forever associating them with the hundreds of meh-evoking turds that museums around the world scramble to possess and brag about.

I’m the asshole who digs contemporary art museums because of the initial strong reactions its art may elicit—my repulsion, my euphoria, my randiness, my utter confusion—and not necessarily the form or contextual history. 

But my mind changes from time to time.
